ONE WEEK!!!!

The Wedding is one week away!!!

I am getting so excited and let's be honest... quite stressed, but so far it has still be fun:) Today, my Mom and I spent the day getting ready for the Wedding "Work Party" we are having tomorrow... We are going to assemble the programs, favors, menus, etc... Basically we are finishing up all the projects we have left. There is a lot to do, but I don't think it should take too long, with all the help we'll have:)

Last Wednesday,I went with my Dad to Silver Cloud Hotel to finalize some last minute details, we went to an Open House at Sodo, to meet my Event Lead and Lead Server and to show Carole around and we went to Starbucks afterwards and meet with Shelby, to talk about last minute photography questions:) Then I had my last fitting and got to take my Dress home on Thursday... it is very beautiful, but heavy:) I also ran a bunch of errands. Friday, I had a Surprise Shower at work... it was very fun and was very thoughtful.

I'm supposed to work Monday and Tuesday next week, but I'm seriously considering taking Tuesday off to get my last minute errands finished. I think I would be a lot less stressed if I did.

I'm really busy right now, but I know we will get it all done and it will be so worth it!!! I'm so excited to be married, finally!!!

I emailed the Hotel we are staying at in Cabo and can't believe we'll be there in a little over a week... it is supposed to be in the 90's and I can't wait to soak up some sun:)

I'm getting married in one week!!! Yeah!

Remember to breathe:)

24 days until the Big Day... and I'm feeling the stress:) So I'm writing this to remind myself to breath and have fun:)

Since my last post, I've had three additional Wedding Showers, and they were all so fun!!!

One, was on August 22nd, at my Auntie Debbie's house and was for family. We had so much fun out on the deck and I taught everyone the Electric slide:) We also played a game with trivia about Jason and I... it was very fun:)
The next was on August 29th and was hosted by my Mom's best friends, Ali and Trish! This shower was a blast too and we played another trivia game, but this one was a DVD of Jason answering questions about me... I had to answer the same questions, and everyone had to guess if we would get the same answers:) Jason was very cute!!!!
And just last weekend, I had a Shower in Spokane, hosted by Cheri, and Paula (Carol's friends) and Jason's sister, Cindy. It was at Jason's parent's house and was really nice!!! It was a personal shower, so I got a lot of girlie stuff for me... and Jason too, I guess:) Cindy was in charge of games, and created a personalized Bingo game with pictures and words that were all about Jason and I... it was so creative!!! I loved it:) They also made me a wedding gown with toilet and tissue paper... it was very elaborate:) And of course, I made everyone learn the Electric slide, before they left:)
I'll post pictures soon:)
I feel much better:)

My Mom is AMAZING!!!

Wedding Planning is exhausting!!! It is like having a second full-time job. Don't get me wrong, I'm having so much fun calculating every last detail, but just because it is fun, it can still be hard work.

I think the only reason I can still call it fun, is because I have a wonderful, right-hand women, my Mom... I think I would be pulling my hair out right now, if it wasn't for her:) She is providing so much help and has basicially given up her entire Summer, to work on Wedding projects. And for those of you who know my Mom, she doesn't ever do things the easy way:) When she does something, she goes all out and creates the most spectacular and wonderful things! She is amazingly artistic and creative and if she doesn't know how to do something, she will learn how to do it:)

My Mom is an inspiration and proudly, she is my Best Friend! We've definitely had our moments and disagreements along the way, but I really feel like all this Wedding planning, has actually broughten us closer together (if that is even possible).

I'm so excited for the Big Day and for all our projects to come together and create the back-drop for the best Wedding Day I could have ever imagined:)

Thank you Mom!!! I really appreciate all your hard work and I know I don't "thank you" enough!!!

I love you!
Lindsey

Summer Update:)

It is 95 degrees today and completely scorching!!! I love the sun, but I am definitely very happy that Boeing has air conditioning...

My Mom and I have been very busy with projects... and have really accomplished a lot!!!!

The table runners are almost complete and two of our three centerpieces are done and ready to go:) Everything has turned out so great... I'm really looking forward to seeing it all!

Since my last post, I have had my first Wedding Shower!!! It was on July 12th at 1pm, in Issaquah. It was hosted by Lindsey, Jamie and Carolyn (Lindsey's Mom) and was so much fun! Most everyone was able to attend and it was so great to get to see all my wonderful friends! The Shower colors were yellow, black and white and there were beautiful Sunflower arrangements:) It was very summery!!!

Having my own Shower was so much fun, but I really didn't know what it was going to be like, going into it... because I've always been the Shower giver:)

It was a great day, with wonderful food and even better friends!!! Thank you so much, Lindsey, Jamie and Carolyn!

Since the Shower, I've been to many other Wedding related activities, but not for myself:) I've been to a Shower, 2 Bachelorette Parties and 1 Hair/Make-up Trial...

I will also be attending 3 Weddings, in the next 2 weeks... it is going to be very busy, but I love Weddings, so I can't wait!!!

The To Do List items are continuing to drop off the list, as quickly as new items get added...

Newly completed items are:

Engagement Anniversary:)

Exactly 1 year ago, yesterday (June 14th) Jason and I got engaged!!!

I can't believe it has been an entire year already!!! Time flies when you're having fun (or extremely busy)!

This last weekend was spent on wedding tasks... trips to the paper store, fabric store and shoe store...

I also finished 3 of the flowers for the Bridesmaids hair... I'm really proud of them and will try and post a picture tomorrow:)

I'll also try and post some pictures of the other projects we are working on...

125 days

I was in a meeting today at work and decided to count the days until the wedding and it was exactly 125!!! Yeah!!!

I booked our hair and make-up today:) We went with Salon Maison... Another "To Do" to cross off the list. http://www.salonmaison.net/services.htm

We also picked out the Tuxes, vests and ties... at Men's Wearhouse last Saturday... Matt and James came with Jason and I, they were a big help. We picked a burnt orange vest and tie, and a two button Calvin Klein tux... I think the guys will look sharp!!!

We also had our 2nd cake tasting last week... It was delicious!!! We were going to have 5 flavors, but after getting to taste them all, we decided that 4 of them were spectacular:) The only thing that I'm worried about is that we won't have enough cake b/c everyone will want to try all 4 flavors:)

We are going to have:

Yellow butter cake with real raspberry filling and butter cream icing

Lemon poppy seed cake with lemon filling and lemon icing

Carrot cake with cream cheese filling and cream cheese icing

Banana cake with banana cream filling (with real banana's) and butter cream icing

YUMMY!!! I think all our guests will think it is the best cake ever! I highly recommend, Sue and That Takes the Cake! http://www.seattleweddingcakes.com/
